Scott Johnston has served as a member of the MercedCERA Board of Retirement since September 2012.
Johnston has worked with Merced County for over 28 years, the last 10 years as the deputy director of public works in the Solid Waste Division. Prior to his work for the county, Johnson served our country and is a 6-year Navy veteran.
Johnston graduated from California State University, Stanislaus, with a bachelor of science degree in applied studies after receiving an associate of science degree in engineering from Merced Junior College.
When Johnston is not serving our retirees, he enjoys golfing, restoring his 193 Plymouth and spending time with family.
